5 {Must-haves}

Whether it be a new find or an old favorite, I love reading about beauty products.  You can never have too many, and it’s nice to change it up a bit to keep things interesting!  Recently I set out in search of a few new items and was pleasantly surprised by the outcome!

Here are my top 5:

1. EOS Ultra Moisturizing Shave Cream in Pomegranate Raspberry

{via}

For the longest time I used body wash, soap, conditioner, etc. to shave until I saw the “Chic and Cheap” article about products under $10 in Self magazine.  Ok, I don’t mind splurging on items that I know are fool-proof, but if I can get something for a good deal, then sign me up!  But regardless of the amazing price {$3.49 to be exact}, all I had to read was “shave wet or dry” and “rub in the excess for additional moisturizers” to figure out I needed it.  Another plus?  The fragrance is to-die-for.  Ladies, I promise this stuff delivers.

2. Origins GinZing Eye Cream

{via}

Without a doubt in my mind, this is my best purchase ever in regards to my beauty regimen.  A table was set up in the Origin’s shop showcasing their bestselling products, and what do you think was front and center?  This little slice of heaven. For around $30, the dark circles & puffiness that comes with staying out late, getting absolutely no sleep, taking the red-eye, WHATEVER, are history.  After applying, you’ll be looking bright-eyed and bushy tailed going in to work.  Let me tell you, I will most certainly never go without this again.

3. One ‘N Only Argan Oil Shampoo & Conditioner

{via}

I have gone on a wild goose chase trying to find the perfect shampoo and conditioner to moisturize my heat damaged hair.  I used products that claimed to help with dry, split ends, went in for a trim every 6-8 weeks, but nothing was helping.  Finally, I caved in and bought the highly talked-about Moroccan Oil Moisture Repair Shampoo and Conditioner.  Within a few weeks my hair changed dramatically – for the better!  The 8.5 oz. bottles of shampoo & conditioner were $24 a piece, and while my hair felt and looked healthier than ever, that was a bit steep.  And like I said before, if I can find something that works for a better price, I am all in.  I did my research and found great reviews for the One ‘N Only Argan Oil brand.  People claimed it compared to the Moroccan Oil, so I decided to try it out… plus, for $9.49 per 12 oz. bottle, I could most definitely afford a test run.  I gave it about 4 weeks to really form an opinion and 3 months later my hair is still healthier than ever!  I literally saw NO change in my hair, so to me, that’s a pretty good reason to save a few $$.  {I do, however, still use the Moroccan Oil oil treatment every time I blow dry – just haven’t ventured to my local Sally’s Beauty Supply to check out the One ‘N Only version yet}

4. Beyond The Zone: Turn Up The Heat Flat Iron Protection

{via}

For anyone who has medium to thick locks and blow dries/flat-irons/curls their hair on a regular basis, you need this.  I have tried so many heat protectants that gave my hair such an oily, greasy feeling that I would have to rewash it almost immediately.  THIS does not.  It gives you a light, healthy shine and truly protects from the heat.  **If you have thin hair or have a tendency to get greasy strands after using certain products, I can’t promise this will work, but if you’re in to trying new things-have at it and let me know how it goes!

5. Beyond The Zone: Rock On Volumizing Powder

{via}

I have pretty thick hair that normally doesn’t lack in the volume department, but since I’ve started using so many moisturizing and heat protectant products, it can get pretty flat on top.  The Rock On Volumizing Powder does WONDERS – especially for people who thought they would never have voluminous roots.  If any of you are suffering from limp strands, click the image above and give it a go.. you won’t be disappointed!!

And there you have it!

Do you have any go-to products that you just can’t live without??  Do tell!!

FYI: I am not a beauty expert – This post is based on my personal opinions – I was not paid to write this
