Chambray & Sequins

Regent Eco-Drive Watch by Citizen // 18 karat Yellow Gold Orbe Stud Earrings by Astley Clarke // Isla Chambray Shirt by Quiksilver // Gold Tone Drama Necklace by AK Anne Klein // Bracelet by Aurélie Bidermann // Vintage Pearl Oyster Skirt by ALLSAINTS // Vintage Quilted small-logo bag by Chanel {similar here} // Light Pink Sequin Bow Pumps by Red Herring

Sequins are one of my most favorite things period, but when they’re paired with chambray the combo is pretty close to perfect.  I first saw this look when I was in the Tory Burch store at South Park Mall in Charlotte, NC.  A girl walked in wearing a denim top and THE most precious gold sequin skirt with a matching sash tied into a bow.  Since that day I’ve been searching for this skirt and have yet to find it!  Not giving up any time soon though – I’ll let you know if I’m successful…

L’obsession du jour

1 :: 2 :: 3 :: 4 :: 5 :: 6 :: 7 :: 8

Floral prints radiate femininity.  Embrace the season with a few statement pieces to show off while strutting around town or hosting the next neighborhood luncheon. Be sure and keep makeup to a minimum to achieve a more natural look – especially during the day.  But, if you plan on sporting this spring trend for a night out, try a bright red or pink lip to bring your natural beauty up a notch. What are your floral favorites? Anything I’ve missed? Share!

Artistic wire & Pillow cases

I‘m extremely proud to say that I crossed a few items off my DIY project list yesterday afternoon!

I’ve been eyeing Jenni’s Heart Ring from I Spy DIY for a while now, so once I got my hands on some artistic wire, I couldn’t wait to make it!  Even though she showed something a bit thicker in her tutorial, the thin wire I used gave the ring a more dainty look, which I ended up loving!

Here’s a shot of the finished product off the balcony of my brother’s townhouse..

The second project was one I saw on Glitter ‘n Glue where Kristen used a pillowcase to make her own version of the well-known paper bag skirts.  I thought this was a genius idea.. especially since there was no sewing involved!  I picked up a black pillowcase from hobby lobby because they sell them individually and they’re much thicker.  I washed and dried it before cutting and within 10 minutes my skirt was finished!  I wore it to the University of South Carolina {my alma mater} vs. Alabama baseball game last night with my garnet leather belt – go gamecocks!

I think I’ve created a monster…

Pretty in Peach

Allow me to introduce to you my latest obsession..

le Vince Camuto Shellys in Bellini - vincecamuto.com

I bought them almost 2 weeks ago during Belk’s Spring Charity Pre-Sale Event and was FINALLY able to pick them up today!!

The stunning shade of peach with rose gold accents literally stopped me in my tracks.  I wasn’t about to leave the store until I knew they were mine.  Luckily, the very last pair just so happened to be my size!  Ahhh, the gemstone embellished t-strap adds the perfect touch of sparkle, don’t you think!?

And of course they’re named after my favorite cocktail…  Fate?  I think so.

Here are a few other peachy items I’m currently coveting:

  1. Petite Peach Embellished Top, $49, dorothyperkins.com
  2. Irene Neuwirth Peach Moonstone & Diamond Pendant Necklace, $8,010, barneys.com
  3. Irene Neuwirth Peach Moonstone, Pink Opal, Diamond & Rainbow Moonstone Earrings, $8,780, barneys.com
  4. Sia Dimitriadi Laburnum Skirt, $767, wolfandbadger.com
  5. Giuseppe Zanotti Espadrille Wedge in Peach, $795, forwardforward.com
  6. AK Anne Klein Watch, Women’s Peach Leather Strap, $65, macys.com

Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend!
